Visit Top Tourists Places of Manchester, England

Manchester is the heart of England. It is a great tourist attraction because the industrial revolution has first started in this city. It is also quite popular due to Manchester United Football Club. The city is located in North West England. According to a survey in Britain, Manchester happens to be England’s third hot tourism spot. Due to more and more tourists pouring in every year the city’s tourism industry is developing day by day. Most of the people consider Manchester as England’s second top city right after London. Being the city of industrial revolution, Manchester is the world’s first modern industrial city and has become an exemplary role model for many of the emerging industrial cities.

Along with modernization, Manchester also has very rich history dating back to the days of the Roman times. After great development in industries, the city grew bigger in power during the Industrial Revolution era. The city was one time ago well known for its cotton and textile industries and was nicknamed Cottonopolis. In 1970s, Greater Manchester was born. Apart from the city’s highly known associations with football clubs such as Manchester United and Manchester City, the city is also among the world’s top destinations for shopping. It is true that London tops Manchester but Manchester does have its attractions. The city is quite famous for King St. This is an exclusive shopping area where you can find top fashion design labels in most stores. It is interesting to take note here that King St has many preserved old buildings and that making a trip to King St is all worthwhile. If you happen to be fanatical fans of Manchester United or Manchester City football clubs and the rest of your family members love shopping then Manchester would be the best place for everyone.

On your visit to Manchester, you will find many cotton mills that have now being used as office space or apartments. For a unique experience visit the site of the Victoria Baths which is being renovated or the Central Library for some truly inspirational architecture. Any architecture adventure in Manchester cannot be overlooked for its imposing, impressive and gothic Town Hall. A beacon of the city’s history this building is a must visit for some aesthetic pleasure.

For a more modern take on Manchester’s constructions visit the Bridgewater Hall and the Urbis museum. These are top tourists places to visit. Apart from architectural sites to explore there are many other attractions such as animal farms at the Heaton Park, families traveling will have the perfect way to keep their little ones occupied. Picking up a car hire in Manchester is the best option to move around these places, as it is a great fun driving to these destinations. With all the site seeing and garden walking, Manchester also provides great food courts at economical prices. Whether it is Chinese, Thai or Indian you crave for or some simple food Manchester will provide all you have to do is go there and order. So, waiting for what? Just hurry up and enjoy the vacation.
