Skin care is by far one of the most important things we can do for ourselves, and preventive skin care is the easiest way to prevent our skin from looking like a shriveled up prune when we get older. If young people learn anything it should be that sunscreen applied today means less wrinkles tomorrow. We all would love the chance to turn back in time and make a note of this so our younger self would protect us, and then right now we could be sitting pretty with smooth youthful skin.
Skin care when you are young is important to prevent you from having skin cancer when you get older. The sun causes the most instances of skin cancer because the UVB rays that it emits burns and permanently damages our skin cells, and this damage allows cancer cells to replace good cells later on in life. We also need to make sure that from the earliest years that a child can understand we instruct them to use products to stop the sun from damaging them, but to make certain those products are all natural, and safe for daily use.
If we do not get this fact through to the kids then they will use chemical based products on their skin that claim to have miraculous powers, but in truth have extremely harmful side effects for those of us that are unfortunate enough to use them for long periods of time. We need the young people to understand that if the ingredients that make up your skin care did not grow in the pharmacy mother nature, planted for us, then they need to avoid it.
Skin care is important and it is up to you to show children how to do it properly. You need to get plenty of exercise, and make sure you eat a good balanced diet that includes at least eight servings of water every day. Make certain you purchase skin care products that contain natural ingredients, and that the children see you use them as well as encourage the children to use them. Abstain from smoking cigarettes, and the harmful effects of alcohol, and teach your children to live a healthy, happy life.
