Disadvantages of Big Breasts

Last updated on September 29, 2011 By AllTheArticles Leave a Comment

Having a set of big breasts is usually considered an asset. Aesthetically, it gives a person more confidence and self esteem. It also gives women a better and more attractive appearance, especially to a man’s point of view. However, for some, big breasts may be troublesome as well. At times, the gift of having big breasts doesn’t fit to a woman’s small body structure making it unlovely to look at.

Medically speaking, big breasts may increase one’s risk for breast cancer. They may also cause intensive back pain for a woman. The back pain may also be caused by an improper posture, an improperly fitted bra and prolonged sitting in the office in a non-ergonomic chair.

There are suggestions to help a woman lessen back discomfort from large breasts. Since one of the causes of pain is from an unfitted bra, specialists suggest that women wear a bra that fits them well with proper measurements. A well-fitting bra doesn’t just help relieve the discomfort; it also makes the woman more attractive in such a way that her breasts don’t look like a burden.

Another solution is to exercise. The exercise should focus on making the chest and upper back muscles more powerful to make it easier to carry the breasts. Practicing standing up straight, sitting up straight, or having proper posture also relieves the pain. A proper posture helps maintain spinal alignment without breast size being such an issue.

If sitting for a long time is an essential for work, an ergonomic chair should be used to promote comfort and provide support. Overweight women with problems of back pains associated with large breasts should consider weight reduction as well.

Lastly, when every possible remedy has been tried, yet still ineffective, breast surgery reduction may be considered. Undergoing the surgery should be considered carefully, since the surgery requires physical and emotional strength and support.
